Hours, exceptions & the fine print

The six-foot rule is a parks rule - section 12.56.050 of the city code, most recently amended effective October 16, 2026, with the dog provision unchanged. Its exception is areas “specifically designated and posted” - the city’s seven leash-free dog parks. Their posted rules: valid license and current vaccines including a rabies tag, no dogs under four months, no females in heat, no aggressive dogs, no food, and you clean up after your dog. The city says you enter at your own risk.
