Our articles, guides, downloads, ebooks, audio, videos, courses, emails and social posts are general information. They are not a diagnosis, veterinary or medical care, an individual behavior assessment, legal advice, or a substitute for someone qualified who has assessed your dog and setting in person. The material cannot account for every dog's history, health, temperament or environment.

Reading, purchasing, contacting us, or taking part in a course or discussion does not create a veterinarian-client, trainer-client, behaviorist-client or other professional-client relationship. Do not delay care or professional help because of this material.

02 / Risk and supervision

Use judgment and stop when unsafe.

Working with a dog carries inherent risks, including bites, scratches, falls, escape, stress, illness, injury to people, dogs or other animals, and damage to property. Dogs and other people can act unpredictably. By choosing to try an activity, you acknowledge these risks and remain responsible for deciding whether it is suitable, creating a safe setting, supervising your dog, and stopping or adapting the activity when safety requires it. This acknowledgment does not waive rights or duties that the law does not allow us to exclude.

Keep enough distance from triggers, do not force contact, and do not place yourself, your dog or others in danger to complete an exercise. Use suitable containment and direct adult supervision where needed. If you cannot manage the risk, do not attempt the exercise without hands-on professional help.

03 / Health and behavior

Get the right professional help.

Pain, disease, medication, age, disability and other health factors can affect behavior and the safety of training. Consult a veterinarian about illness, injury, sudden behavior changes, suspected medical causes, or concerns about physical activity. For aggression, guarding, repeated bites, severe fear or any bite risk, seek a qualified, humane behavior professional working with your veterinarian. A guide cannot determine whether a specific technique or tool is safe for your dog.

Do not use these materials to diagnose a condition, replace treatment, or manage an emergency. Seek urgent local care when needed.

04 / Equipment and surroundings

Check the setup before you begin.

You choose and use your own leash, collar, harness, muzzle, crate, gate, treats and other equipment. Check fit, condition, instructions, choking or entanglement hazards, escape risk, allergies, food safety, weather, surfaces and the presence of other people or animals. Follow manufacturer directions and get professional fitting help where appropriate. A mention or demonstration is not a certification or guarantee of any product.

Children should never be left unsupervised with a dog or asked to manage a dog whose behavior or strength they cannot safely handle. Teach children to give dogs space and use close adult supervision, no exercise makes a dog child-safe.

05 / Local rules

Follow the law where you are.

You are responsible for the rules applicable to your dog and location, including leash and restraint requirements, public-space restrictions, licensing, vaccination, bite reporting, dangerous-dog rules, breed-related rules and animal-welfare requirements. Rules differ by place and may change. Our examples are not permission to ignore a legal requirement or someone else's property and safety.

No promised result.

Training outcomes and timeframes vary with each dog, household, health, practice and environment. We do not promise that a method will work for your dog, that a problem will improve by a certain date, or that using the material will prevent a bite, injury, escape or damage. Examples, case studies, reviews and testimonials describe particular experiences, they may not reflect a typical outcome and are not guarantees. Where we present a specific claim about typical results, we should provide a basis for it at the point of the claim.

Information may change.

We try to keep our material useful and accurate, but information, research, product details, laws, prices and links can change. Content may include errors or omissions, and older versions may remain in circulation. We may correct, update, remove or discontinue content, subject to any purchase commitments and applicable law. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, but this does not reduce any legal right to receive the digital content or remedy for a failure to supply it.

Nothing on this page cancels a mandatory withdrawal, cancellation, refund, repair or other consumer remedy. Purchases are for adults.

Purchases and account registrations are intended for adults able to enter a contract under their local law. If a minor uses the educational material, a parent or guardian should decide whether it is appropriate and supervise the use and any interaction with a dog. Where a platform sets a higher age requirement, follow that platform's rules. Do not share account credentials or use someone else's account without permission.

In comments, reviews, forums or groups, do not post unlawful, abusive, unsafe or infringing material, another person's private information, or medical or veterinary claims presented as a diagnosis. We may moderate or remove content and restrict access where allowed by the applicable rules and law. Public comments are not a private consultation or an emergency channel. If you post material, you remain responsible for the rights and accuracy of what you post, any license you grant us to display it should be stated in the applicable community terms.

Third parties set their own rules.

Amazon and other marketplaces, social networks, video hosts, email providers, payment processors and linked sites may host content, process payments or control access. Their own terms, privacy notices and technical limits apply to their services. We do not control their content or availability and do not endorse everything they publish. For a purchase made through a third-party store, check the seller identified at that checkout and its applicable purchase terms. For how personal information is collected, used and shared, read the Privacy policy. Avoid posting personal, medical or sensitive information about yourself or others in public comments. Do not send urgent animal or human health questions through a general contact form.

Limits only where lawful.

To the extent the law permits, the site and general educational content are provided "as is" and "as available," without a promise that the content will be error-free, complete, fit for a particular dog or continuously accessible. Subject to mandatory rights, the operator and contributors are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses caused by reliance on general material or by events outside their reasonable control. This disclaimer works alongside the Terms, Refund policy and Privacy policy. If a mandatory law or a specific purchase term gives you greater protection, that protection applies.
